and Family |
Mike has a rewarding career as a licensed landscape architect in the state of Colorado, who specializes in the design of athletic fields and sports complexes. He graduated from Colorado State University with the same degree. Since graduating from CSU, he has designed or been involved in the design of over 50 sports fields or sports complexes throughout the United States. He has been personally involved in the construction and the design of the majority of the Colorado Rockies Field of Dream Fields. He is most proud of his design of the Todd Helton Field, which is part of the Salisbury Equestrian Park Baseball Complex. Salisbury is a regional park, located in Parker, Colorado, which includes four baseball fields, a central open park with playgrounds and a three-arena equestrian event center. Another notable Colorado Rockies Field of Dreams project includes the Mike Lansing Field, a minor league stadium in Casper, Wyoming.
The experience gained from the Rockies Fields led to other projects around the country. The Los Angeles Dodgers took notice of the positive impact the Rockies Fields had on the Colorado and Wyoming communities and soon followed with the same type of field program. Working with one of the most prestigious and historically rich teams in professional baseball, Mike was the prime consultant with SportsOne Development that designed many of the Dodger Dream Fields. Seoul International Park with its synthetic turf field is the jewel of his Dodgers Field portfolio.
Mike has learned a great deal over the years working with many wonderful people, agencies and organizations but always remembers to keep things in perspective. He looks forward everyday coming home to his incredible family knowing he has made a positive impact on the world. He truly believes he lives a charmed life. |
